This website is managed by Destination Kaikōura, a Regional Tourism Organisation formed in April 2014. Kaikōura became New Zealand’s 30th Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) and started trading under the name Destination Kaikōura.
Kaikōura is the smallest RTO in New Zealand and is responsible for promoting Kaikōura to regional and international markets.
Destination Kaikōura is managed by acting General Manager, Louise Frend assisted by Luci Williams (Marketing and Events Engagement Manager), Karin Willemsen (Marketing/Digital Coordinator) and Lisa Collier (Accounts Manager).

The Kaikōura i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is non-for-profit organisation that is separate from the RTO Destination Kaikōura and is predominately funded by membership fees and commission on bookings. The Kaikōura i-SITE is managed by Fiona Farquhar (i-SITE Manager) and her team of booking consultants.
The Kaikōura i-SITE is governed by an independent board, The Kaikōura Information and Tourism incorporated (KITI) which is association that is overseeing the Kaikōura i-SITE functions and finances.
KITI consists of six voluntary board members elected by the Kaikōura i-SITE financial members and are nominated a term of 2 years. The board members are currently: Lynette Buurman (Chairperson), Chris Sturgeon (Deputy), Daniel Stevenson, Janice Dreaver, Joanne James, Matt Foy, Paul Finney, Neroli Gold and council elected board members Julie Howden & Lisa Bond.
