This website is managed by Destination Kaikōura, the Regional Tourism Organisation for Kaikōura. Formed in April 2014, Kaikōura became New Zealand’s 30th Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO).

 

Kaikōura is the smallest RTO in New Zealand and is responsible for promoting Kaikōura domestically and internationally.

 

Destination Kaikōura is managed by Destination Manager, Lisa Bond assisted by Luci Williams (Marketing and Events Engagement Manager), and Ari Boyd (Finance Administrator).

The Kaikōura i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is non-for-profit organisation that is separate from the RTO Destination Kaikōura and is predominately funded by membership fees and commission on bookings. The Kaikōura i-SITE is managed by Lisa Bond  and her team of Visitor centre consultants.

 

The Kaikōura i-SITE is governed by an independent board, The Kaikōura Information and Tourism incorporated (KITI) which is an association that is overseeing the Kaikōura i-SITE functions and finances.

 

KITI consists of nine voluntary board members elected by the Kaikōura i-SITE financial members and are nominated a term of 2 years. The board members are currently: Lynette Buurman (Chairperson), Chris Sturgeon (Deputy), Daniel Stevenson, Becky Harkess, Joanne James, Matt Foy, Paul Finney, Neroli Gold and council elected board member Julie Howden.
