Kaikōura Memorial Hall


The recently refurbished Kaikōura Memorial Hall is one of the most significant buildings in our region.  Located centrally in the Kaikōura township and on an area that is pivotal to our shared cultural history.


Capacity: This historic building can host up to 450 people in the whole facility, with the Supper Room maximum capacity 90 people.

The Mayfair Arts and Cultural Centre


A two-screen cinema, exhibition space and arts hub for Kaikōura and surrounding areas. Reopened in November 2020 following a major rebuild The Mayfair is also available for private hire, conferences, and corporate events.

Kaikōura Trotting Club & Racecourse


The Trotting Club hall at the South Bay Racecourse is available to hire for your function. Located at a convenient and safe off-road location and with ample parking, the hall offers plenty of space and facilities for the hosting of your function.

Donegal House


Donegal House "The Little Irish Hotel In The Country" is your one stop venue with Accommodation, Bar, Restaurant and Conference space on site all set on six acres of tranquil gardens with the backdrop of Kaikōura's most prominent landmark, Mt Fyffe. It is a unique setting for exceptional conferences, weddings and events - all in your own private stone cottage.

Fyffe House Grounds


In a stunning seaside setting, Fyffe House is Kaikōura’s oldest surviving building and the last remnant of a pioneer whaling station established in 1842. The grounds surrounding the cottage afford fabulous views of the ocean and inland snow-capped mountains.

The Civic Centre building houses houses the museum, library, district council and regional council offices and is used for community events, meetings and even weddings!

Kaikōura Top 10 are pleased to be able to offer groups, schools and businesses the use of their centrally located, purpose built, modern and professional conference centre. An ideal meeting place for groups and delegates travelling from Wellington and around the South Island.

Sudima Hotel Kaikōura

Located on the shoreline, Sudima Kaikōura will be a brand new 4.5-star hotel with stunning views of mountains and sea. It’s just a short walk from the township’s retail centre. Takahanga Marae


Takahanga Marae is the standing place for Ngati Kuri. The Marae, buildings and grounds are sacred and has Mana that has to be respected by everybody who enters the Marae grounds - it is wahii tapu. The house that stands today is on the exact site of the original house, which stood some 200 years ago. The original Marae was built some 450 years ago by Kati Mamoe.

Upper Room Kaikōura


Kaikōura’s Upper Room offers a versatile room, with a breath-taking view of the Kaikōura Ranges. This site is ideally situated for your wedding, conference, or corporate event requirements. Managed by St Paul's Presbyterian church, the Upper Room is intended to serve our local community.


The Upper Room offers a large, modern conference room; second-story balcony overlooking the sea, a fully equipped sound system and catering facilities. The on-site kitchenette is well-equipped for catering a full reception or serving coffee, tea and refreshments. There are many fine Kaikōura caters if you wish to engage someone to do the catering.


Centrally positioned, near the Kaikōura I-Site, with a spacious open floor plan, the site is ideal for a variety of purposes.


Capacity: 150 people and if seated at tables 80/100 people. Pricing is available for hourly use, half day use (up to 4 hours) or full day use (up to 8 hours).
