Kaikoura's premier festival featuring wine and food from the region, Seafest is an annual celebration of the abundance of the ocean, land and all it represents for the Kaikoura region.

Started in 1995, Seafest is held on the first Saturday of October each year. The 18th festival is to be held on SATURDAY 6th OCTOBER 2012 10am to 5pm The Big Top Bash is on FRIDAY 5th OCTOBER 2012.
Tickets go on sale 1st April 2012

 A huge centre marquee means revellers can enjoy the day no matter what the weather - Seafest has become known as a festival that meets and greets the elements in style - no matter what is thrown at it.

 The festival is a taste, sight & sound extravaganza for those who enjoy good food, good company and a good time.   
   
An impressive variety of products offered, presented in many weird and wonderfully creative ways -  enjoyed with continuous live entertainment on the Pirate stage throughout the day.  
 
The fine food, wines, and beverages featured are predominantly from the local Kaikoura, Marlborough, and North Canterbury regions.

Seafest is held at the Takahanga Domain, situated on the Esplanade, Kaikoura. The domain is central to town providing good access to amenities.
