** WHALE WATCH FLIGHTS ** $165

View the largest toothed whale in the world from the comfort of an aircraft. Typical flights are 30 minute duration over the Kaikoura sea canyon which is situated just off shore, at a depth ranging from 1000m to 3000m.
You can communicate to the pilot via headset. You can get great camera shots of the whale from nose to tail before it prepares for is next dive.
On occasions other species of whales such as Humpbacks, Right Whales, and pilot whales can be seen in the Kaikoura waters. Also view large pods dolphins feeding and playing along the Kaikoura coast.
